This is one kick ass collection of aggressive music. To first give you a feel for what types of music were looking at, let me list some of the bands included on the album's 16 tracks: Coal Chamber, Rammstein, Gravity Kills, Rollins Band, Carcass, Fear Factory, Type O Negative and Helmet. This is only half the offering but offers a fair cross-section of the music on the disc. There are many genres represented hereon. God Lives Underwater's industrial/techno "From Your Mouth" is a groovy cacophany of record scratching and a throbbing bass-heavy rhythm; Rollins Band's "Liar" cuts from quiet chords and Mr. Rollins' spoken castigation of liars to violent chords and screaming hatred for liars, modern day punk; Cubanate's "It" charges along with ugly vocals and a churning rhythm not at all good for sunny day driving; Candiria's "Pull," fades from a jazzy opening to unadulterated violent screaming and bare, distorted guitars. While there may be many genres apparent, the collection as a whole has one wishing for a local mosh pit. There are no punches pulled here.
