This was the documentary that showed troubled youths being hauled off to Rahway State Prison to be lectured and screamed at by lifers. I was all excited to watch it because IT WAS THE FIRST TIME THEY CURSED ON TV WITHOUT BLEEPING IT OUT.
I know the target was "troubled youths", but this program really scared the sh*t out of every single white kid in the United States. I saw Scared Straight in class during high school, and my friends and I immediately went out and rented it to watch it again and again. Peter Falk is amazing, and remember "the language is plenty rough."
