Outro In the summer of 1992, a group of three talented young men formed the dance troop, "Pimmp." Jarrel Gresham (a.k.a. J-Luvv), Robert Lewis (a.k.a. Vainz), and Raymond Williams (a.k.a. Tangaray) decided to enterprise their talents and perform for the summer youth programs in and around the Omaha area. They continue in their quest with notable success until 1996 when they took on a new mission. Since 1996 they have amazed audiences with their talents in dancing and rapping. They grew up in an area where street violence is common, and attended funerals of their peers. J-Luvv pondered on the significance of life, and what happens to young people when they die. He often heard others refer to heaven or hell as a place where all humans would eventually go to. He would like to think that most of his peers are expecting peace in their final resting-place. As a token of his concern for them, and their continued life in his memory, he thought of the name Afta Lyfe. With their new name inspired by their peers who they feel currently reside in an after life, they developed a new mission. Their music is designed to awaken the consciences of their listeners about social woes we endure as a result of a mass focus on self-gratification. Rhonod Fletcher helped them mature as Rap artists. After months of preparation, Afta Lyfe debut their performance in Des Moines, Iowa at a teen club. The local radio station gave an airtime interview, and they haven't looked back since. They recently opened for nationally noted comedian, Sheryl Underwood. They have a hit CD entitled, "Tha Other Syde of Lyfe."
